We spent 2 days in Yellowstone. The views were beautiful and the park was really crowded but we had perfect weather for our visit. For the first time, we spent a night out in the "wilderness." The campsite had primitive spots to park and there were sounds and rustlings all night that made me uncomfortable. Can bears break into RVs? Today after seeing the rest of the loop in Yellowstone, we chose to "boondock" in a Walmart parking lot with about 20 other RVs and no wildlife.
A discovery: When "negative" events happen, I try to make myself think about the good things that have happened that day. I realized that the good far outweighs the bad and I feel happier too. Pictures below are of Camp Lakodia in Madison, SD.
These are sculptures created by Wayne Porter from scrap iron. His "sculpture garden" is located in a field amidst vast acres of farmland as far as the eye can see. In one of the images, the artist is holding a picture of his next project. Beautiful work.
